Your baby hands won’t stay this small for long. They peek through the railing on your crib, that won’t stay a crib for much longer. You are still small enough to sleep in there, but big enough to steal my heart. I love that your baby hands want to hold my mommy hands. My favorite is when you pat my back with your baby hands whenever I’m holding you.
Those tiny hands can make a huge mess, but no matter what, your daddy will always be wrapped around your finger…the same finger that you use to point in our faces when you’re angry. We can’t help but laugh at how an itty bitty person can have so much fierceness inside. I pray that you learn what it means to be the hands of God, lending a hand to others, and holding the hand of someone who needs it. No matter how much you grow, how much you learn, how much you change…your daddy and I will love you, support you, encourage you, and pray for you no matter what. Hands down.
Psalm 139: 7-10 “Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast.”
