My husband says she acts just like me. I say, “That’s why she’s so funny”. (Insert cute emoji of blonde girl fluffing her hair. And then a winky face.) I love to have fun, be totally goofy, and embrace my oddness. It’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but in the end, I’m still laughing no matter who likes my jokes.
I see this same weirdness coming out in Avery. As we say here in the south…”She’s a mess!” And I love every ounce of it. She is starting to pick up on my sarcasm and dance like a fool with me in the car. We have a lot of fun and I hope it grows as she gets older. Today she had dress rehearsal with her Spotlight dance team before the company’s winter showcase tomorrow. Hiding in the wings, I took pictures of them while attempting to master the funky stage lighting. What I captured instead was my daughter…acting funky. And laughing at her witty little self.
She’s a mess, y’all! 🙂
