Slowly but surely I have been transitioning my home into a space that reflects my style. For 10 years we have decorated our home with reds, crimsons, golds, and dark leathers. I absolutely love light, breathable, and airy hues like soft blues and cream. Last summer, I coordinated our family’s annual beach picture in St. Simons Island with wardrobe to match our ‘not even redecorated’ living room. (Thank you to my babysitter and friend Brianna for taking this picture for us!) I had a vision, and it has finally come to life. We recovered our red and gold couches to this beautiful soft linen color, and I commissioned a friend of mine to build this AMAZING pallet board frame for me. The picture inside is 40×60 inches…HUGE! The frame is 54×76 inches. I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. Thank you so much to Ben Palmer from Benton Art for making this custom art work for our home. Oh…and HAPPY BIRTHDAY Buddy!
My next favorite spot in our home is our foyer entry. This console dresser used to be painted with oriental birds in red and black. My talented, gorgeous, and full-of-life friend Stacey painted and lightly distressed it in my favorite color. The cathedral lantern is from Kirkland’s (thanks Mom!) and the chippy wood green house is from Hobby Lobby. I bought this old milk jug from a local antique store years ago. It’s from an Augusta, Ga dairy. The lighted flowers are a combination of a light tree and individual floral stems I added, both from Hobby Lobby.
Growing up in the south surrounded by old barns, 100 year old homes with chipped paint, and churches on every corner have influenced my design style. It just feels like….HOME.
Wow, Paige, I love it!! Absolutely gorgeous!! And your photos look like they came from a magazine! 😉
Thank you Allison!! I love what you did to your new room renovation too !!
Thank you!! It seems like renovations are a never-ending project but I do love how my space is turning out. Still lots to do, but it is fun seeing the progress being done and the fact that I’ve put so much effort into it myself. 🙂
LOVE your home!!! IT is so beautiful and I always feel at home when I walk in!
